Replacement 3W exciter.  This model is the smaller, lighter (35g), lower powered (3W) version of the exciter.  Due to its smaller size and weight (half the weight of the 10W exciter), it causes less damping on your bowl.  It is a great general purpose exciter for most bowls.   Includes a mounting disc and adhesive strip
 
IMPORTANT NOTES:
 
Before connecting this exciter to your Musical Mushroom, you MUST ensure that it has firmware version 0.3.5 or higher to ensure that the exciter is not driven too loudly, potentially causing it to overheat.  Video instructions on how to check your firmware version and how to update your firmware for both MAC and PC are found here on the support page (see Musical Mushroom Firmware Update Procedure).
To ensure the best possible vibrational quality, you should only mount this exciter to the white mounting discs WITHOUT the small hole in its center.  The original black discs with two small holes or the first generation white discs with a single small hole in its center are not recommended.
Unlike the larger 10W exciter, the mounting position of the 3W exciter should be higher up in the bowl, between 1/2 to 2/3 of the bowl's height.  Higher mounting position gives more control, lower give less damping and longer sustain.
